Tomorrow, Xinya students enrolled in 2018 will go to Wuyuan, Jiangxi Province for a two-week labor-based study trip. They will work in a factory in the first week and farm in the fields in the second. At the pre-departure mobilization meeting, Dean Gan Yang dedicated a message to the students: "Be tough and resilient, cultivate virtues and show respect, help each other, and be healthy and happy". He also hoped that the students would take time to readthe Analects of Confucius in the evening. It is expected that they will forget they are students at Tsinghua University, have first-hand experience, labor in earnest and learn from classics and life with an open mind to achieve academic and practical gains.
