The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), founded in 1895, is one of the world's top universities that focuses on social sciences. LSE100 is a summer course tailored by LSE for students of Xinya College. The course adopts social hotspots and regional issues as case studies to develop students' observation and understanding of events and phenomena. During the three-week-long course, students study and discuss around one subject every week. During the teaching process, flexible and diversified teaching methods are adopted, including centralized small class teaching and open discussion, as well as preview, in-class communication between the teacher and the students, after-class group discussion, and on-site exchanges. Teachers welcome the collision and exchange of plural values. In addition to classroom teaching and discussion, educational tours of London streets and museums make the students' trip to London more down-to-earth and create more room for independent exploration.

So far, the LSE100 program has been successfully held for three sessions. In 2019, a social practice part was added. Based on the starting point that product brands are an integral part of national soft power, the students went to streets to survey ordinary British people on their impression of representative Huawei products as well as the deep-seated political, economic, and cultural reasons behind from the perspective of the relationship between Britain and the Belt and Road Initiative. The collision and dialogue between different languages and different cultures inspire and stimulate students' cognition and imagination all the time. Students not only develop a new and better understanding of Britain and other regions and societies in the world. More importantly, when they walk in groups by the River Thames, what comes into their mind is a better understanding of and more reasonable expectations for themselves and their future.
