Heh-Hsiang Yuan

Professor Heh-Hsiang Yuan offers lectures on A Humanistic Approach to English Literature to Xinya students at the spring semesters of 2024.

Professor Heh-Hsiang Yuan graduated from the Intercollegiate Institute of Occidental College, California, the United States with master's and doctorate degrees. Professor Yuan served as an assistant professor in the Department of English at the University of Wisconsin, the United States, a professor and Chair of the Department of English at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is the founding chairman of the Hong Kong Comparative Literature Association. Professor Yuan was also employed as an instructor at the National Taiwan University and National Chung Cheng University. Since his retirement from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2000, he has served as a chair professor of English at Soochow University.
