LIU Yong

Born in Dantu District, Jiangsu Province, in 1964, Liu Yong is a renowned writer and scholar. He was transferred to the Department of Chinese Language and Literature, School of Humanities, Tsinghua University in 2001, and now serves as a professor at the Department.

He once served as a supervisor at Xinya College. He offers the course Literary Masterpieces and Writing Training.

Awards and Honors

2014 Lu Xun Literary Award and Lao She Literary Award for The Invisibility Cloak); 2015 Mao Dun Literature Prize for the Jiangnan Trilogy (Peach Blossom Paradise, My Dream of the Mountain and River, and Spring Ends in Jiangnan)

Academic Achievements

Representative novels: The Enemy, The Flag of Desire, Peach Blossom Paradise, My Dream of the Mountain and River, and Spring Ends in Jiangnan; short stories/novellas: The Lost Boat, Green and Yellow, and The Invisibility Cloak Published abroad after being translated into more than 10 languages, including English, French, Italian and Japanese.
