On the afternoon of November 28, College Manager Wang Yiwei from CUHK-Shenzhen’s Diligentia College, visited Tsinghua University’s Xinya College, accompanied by his team. The exchange discussion was attended by Xinya College Dean Mei Ciqi, Deputy Dean Zhang Weite, Head of Student Work Group Zhang Yuanzhe, and General Affairs Office Director Wang Xiaojing. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including talent training via the college system, holistic student development, and international exchanges.

At the beginning of the exchange, Mr. Wang Yiwei presented an informative video review of the development and progress of CUHK-Shenzhen and Diligentia College. He then focused on sharing the educational philosophy of the Diligentia College system, delving into unique experiences and practices in areas including resident wardens and tutors, distinctive course design, cultural activities, and international exchange programs.

In response, Dean Mei Ciqi warmly welcomed the visiting delegation from Diligentia College and extended gratitude for the generous invitation and subsequent hospitality extended to Xinya College at the High Table Dinner in 2023. Following that, Dean Mei briefly reviewed Xinya College’s establishment and development, emphasizing the construction of Xinya's general education curriculum system, and the 10,000-hour college-based extracurricular training system together with its set of exploratory practices.

Both sides expressed recognition of the alignment between the educational philosophies of Diligentia College and Xinya College in terms of general education and college systems, and acknowledged the existence of many areas for mutual learning and exchange. It is hoped that in the future, the two colleges will continue to strengthen their mutual interaction and learning, particularly in the realms of labor practice and international cooperation, engaging in in-depth exchanges and collaborations.
